2004 Chateau De La Tour, Clos Vougeot, Burgundy, Pinot Noir

One of the best Kosher Pinot Noirs from Burgundy ever made! From vines that average 95 years of age. Here there is slightly better oak/fruit/extract balance and while the wood is not invisible, it is more tightly integrated. The ripe, rich, sweet and muscular full-bodied flavors deliver outstanding volume and real weight and this too is blessed with an impressive amount of dry extract. The finish is more obviously structured and will require several more years in the cellar to come around. Excellent today and will improve for years to come.
