Daniel Rogov: "Golan Heights Winery, Rom, Yarden, 2007: I have tasted this wine five times in all. The only change in my recent tasting note is to jump the score by one point. Impenetrably dark garnet in color, with fine aromatics, a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Syrah and 23% Merlot. Full-bodied, with still-firm tannins and generous wood but showing finely tuned balance that bodes well for the future. On first attack blueberries and spices, those followed by notes of near jammy black and red currants, red plums, citrus peel and dark chocolate. On the super-long finish, tannins and fruits rise along with hints of raspberries and red licorice. As to the somewhat jammy note, that will integrate within the next year to 18 months. Although the wine is approachable now it will come to its best only between 2013-2022. NIS 380. Score 95. K"
